Felted Animals FAQs

Do you accept custom or personalized orders for needle felted animals?

Yes, I accept a limited number of custom orders each month. Please fill out our contact form if you have an idea for a custom order or would like one of our designs personalized for you. For some information about custom wedding cake toppers, you can take a look at this page

How long is production time for custom and made-to-order items?

Production time is typically 2-4 weeks, but may be shorter or longer depending on the volume of orders. I will give you a more exact timeline before you place your order. If you are interested in a custom item, but need your order sooner, I can sometimes offer a rush order service for a fee that is dependent on the price of the item. Contact me for details.

How should I care for my needle felted item?

Needle felted animals are handmade and are not suitable for rough play or machine wash. They are not toys and should not be treated as such. If your animal accumulates dust from being on display, the best way to clean it is with a hair dryer on the cool setting. The compressed air cans that are used for cleaning computer keyboards also work well.

Can you do a wool painting of my pet?

Yes, I am able to do custom pet portraits. The only requirement is that you can provide me with a high resolution photo that you own the rights to. For an 8 inch round portrait, prices typically start at $200. Contact me for details and for an exact price quote based on your photo.

Do you needle felt cats?

Despite the fact that I am total cat lady, I rarely needle felt 3-D cats. For whatever reason, I find them extremely difficult to do and am hardly ever satisfied with the results. For that reason, cats are one of the few animals I usually won't accept custom orders for when it comes to 3-D figures.

If, however, you want me to do an illustration of cats or a wool painting, I am definitely up for that! I love cats, and love being able to incorporate them into my art whenever I can.
